Over the last 20 years I have used field surveys, natural and manipulative experiments, laboratory analyses, and microcosms together with advanced statistics to answer questions about marine biodiversity and ecological function. I am proficient in multiple programming languages (including R, Python, and Perl) and have contributed to other fields such as molecular biology, population genetics, and bioinformatics.
