Faculty Profile
Carla is a scientist with a diverse professional training, spanning from Engineering, Biotechnology and Marine Microbiology. Her interest in the relationships among organisms and their dynamic environment found a prolific niche in the Southern tip of America, reaching also the Antarctic Peninsula.
Carla grew up in Araucania and started working in Patagonia early on, where her curiosity for natural processes and human interactions began. Whether it was through productive endeavors or basic questions, Carla has developed an integral approach to observe, quantify and communicate ecosystem scenarios in order to comprehend and preserve them.
